Azerbaijani-native singer to represent Belarus in the Eurovision-2009 qualifying tour

Minsk. Karim Hasanli -APA. Azerbaijani-native Belarus singer Gunash Abbasova is going to represent Belarus in the Eurovision-2009 contest. Abbasova confirmed her intentions to join the national qualifying tour, APA reports.

The singer said at the press-conference in Minsk that she would agree if she receives offer form Azerbaijan. "I make no secret. I will agree if Azerbaijan offers me to represent it in the Eurovision contest, but I want represent the country where I was born and I live".

Abbasova was born in Baranovich town of Belarus. She is songstress for 8 years and represented Belarus in the different contests. Despite that she reached finals of the Eurovision-2008 national qualifying tour, she ceded her place to Ruslan Alechno at the last moment.
