Alexander Lukashenko pays tribute to memory of Saparmurat Niyazov

Alexander Lukashenko paid tribute to the memory of the first president of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov, as part of his official visit to Turkmenistan. The President of Belarus laid flowers at the mausoleum in Kipchak, toured the spirituality mosque of Turkmenbashi and acquainted himself with the exposition of the Museum of the first President of Turkmenistan where he signed the book of honorary guests, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports Ashgabat.

The cultural program of the Belarusian leader also included a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to Independence of Turkmenistan, and planting young trees in the alley of the honored guests of Ashgabat.

Recalling his previous visit to Turkmenistan in 2002, Alexander Lukashenko noted that changes that have taken place here were stunning. According to the guests, the modern Turkmenistan is a rapidly growing, competitive country with huge potential.

"I saw a new city where the most beautiful buildings are the houses for ordinary people, the Belarusian leader said. - The magnitude of change can not but surprise. At the same time, you were able to retain a special charm and comfort inherent in Ashgabat."
