Belarus: Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov took part in the OSCE informal ministerial meeting on Corfu

On 27-28 June, Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov took part in the informal ministerial meeting of the OSCE on the European security issues held under the aegis of the Greek OSCE Presidency, on Corfu, Greece.

Sergei Martynov voiced Belarus position on key issues of the Euorpean security, including weapons control. He supported Russian proposal on elaboration of a legaly binding agreement on the European security. Belarusian delegation suggested to engage international organisations dealing with Euro-Atlantic security (EU, NATO, CSTO, CIS) into the dialogue on future architecture of the European security, and expressed the need for stronger role of the OSCE in ensuring energy security that would give more account for interests of countries of origin, transit and destination.

Sergei Martynov held meetings with Foreign Ministers of Austria, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Finland and Sweden.
