Belarus says Gazprom admits owes for transit-report

MOSCOW June 30 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom (GAZP.MM: Quote) has admitted to owing $32 million to Minsk for gas transit through Belarus, Russian news agencies quoted Belarussian First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko as saying on Wednesday.

He added hat Belarus expects to sign an amendment to its contract with Gazprom regarding the prices for gas transit on Thursday, Interfax reported. Gazprom has previously said it had paid Belarus for gas transit in line with current contract terms, but a deal featuring higher transit fees was expected to be signed soon.
