Belarusian deputy PM sees gas transit deal with Gazprom on Thu

MINSK, Jun 30 (PRIME-TASS) -- Belarus and Russian gas giant Gazprom are expected to sign a gas transit agreement on Thursday, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said Wednesday.

"We're highly likely to sign (it) tomorrow," he said.

He also said Gazprom had agreed to pay a transit fee of $1.88 per 1,000 cubic meters per 100 kilometers in 2010.

The comments follow a major dispute between Gazprom and Belarus over gas supplies and transit.

He also said Belarus would announce July 4-5 its position on ratifying the code of its customs union with Russia and Kazakhstan.
