KGB of Belarus liquidated channel of heroin delivery from Germany

The KGB of Belarus has detained an inhabitant of Grodno oblast at the moment of the sale of heroin and he was charged with the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors was produced (chemical reagents), daily Telegraf writes. Agency Interfax referring to the press- service of the Belarus KGB branch of Minsk and Minsk region adds: consequently it is established that the detained person had an intention to fix a steady channel of the delivery of large parties of heroin into Belarus from Germany using his connections in the criminal environment. According to the Interior Ministry of Belarus, 127 people out of 100,000 in this country consume drugs, writes Telegraf. Between January and May, 2006 the law-enforcement agencies have revealed 278 crimes connected with the illegal circulation of drugs. This May the chairman of the state committee of borderguard troops of Belarus General-Lieutenant Aleksandr Pavlovsky stated that on the border of Belarus an increase of drug circulation is observed. If earlier these drugs were dispatched from Afghanistan through Russia and Belarus to the Western Europe, today similar volume is flowing from the territory of Poland into Belarus and further into Russia, Pavlovsky has said.

According to him, many laboratories producing synthetic narcotics, including amphetamine and ecstasy operate in Poland.
