Belarus President to visit Venezuela

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will pay a visit to Venezuela, following an invitation by his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez, Efe reported.

"The Belarus President gave his consent. The dates of the visit will be defined soon," Pavel Liogki, head of the President's press office said, as quoted by Russian news agency Interfax.

Chavez, during the first visit of a Latin American ruler to Belarus, and Lukashenko held a meeting Monday, where they vowed friendship and advocated a new multi-polar world order.

In addition to a joint statement and a number of cooperation agreements, both parties resolved to establish an inter-government committee to plan projects in the common interest.
