Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus outnumber indicator of 2006 in 5 months of 2007
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus outnumbered the indicator of the year 2006 in five months of 2007, Belarus Embassy's press secretary Kiril Kamishev told the APA.
Mr.Kamishev said that trade turnover between the two countries made up $35 million in 2006, and now trade turnover during five months of this year increased. The main growth occurred on the account of establishment of fields of assembling Belarus tractors and lorries in Ganja, buying road equipment from Belarus.
The diplomat said that Azerbaijan exports agricultural products-walnut, hazel-nut, tomato paste and other products to Belarus.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made an official visit to Belarus in summer last month, and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko visited Azerbaijan in spring, 2007. National exhibition of Belarus was also held in Baku. /APA/
