Belarus Vice-Premier to visit Ashgabat, July 25-26

The delegation of Belarus headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Co-Chairman of the Joint Belarus-Turkmen Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation Alexander Kosinets will visit Ashgabat, July 25-26, Interfax Agency reports referring to the press-service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

"As anticipated, during the visit the delegation will meet with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Mmeredov, Vice Prime Ministers responsible for industry, energy, construction, transport, culture, education, sport and tourism", the press-service informs.

According to the press-service, the main purpose of the visit is "to discuss issues of considerable increase in bilateral turnover, including the export volumes of the Belarus agricultural and industrial machinery, equipment, petrochemical and food industries production, and intensification of the cooperation in the fuel and energy and construction spheres". The start of the activities of the Joint Belarus-Turkmen Trade and Economic Cooperation Commission will be discussed.

During the visit, signing of the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Belarus on the cooperation in sport and tourism and the Agreement between the Ministry of Culture of Belarus and Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting of Turkmenistan on cooperation in the sphere of culture is planned.
