Iran-Belarus-I ranology First Persian language chamber in Belarus opens

First chamber of Iranian studies and Persian language was launched in Belarussian State University of Foreign Languages.

According to the Russian News Agency Novosti, the chamber was set up with the aim of getting students acquainted with the Iranian culture and civilization and pave the grounds for establishing Persian language department in the university.

Iran's cultural attache in Belarus, Ramroudi, said that the chamber was set up by Iran's Embassy in Minsk and until September, an Iranian instructor will be dispatched to the country to teach Iranology and Persian language.

Chancellor of the university also expressed pleasure over the move and said that the university which boasts of 40 departments teaches 16 foreign languages.

He hoped that Persian language will find its due status in the university.

He also called on Iran to provide the chamber with necessary books and pamphlets.
