Minsk. Four men linked to a nationalist opposition group who were held in connection with a July 3 bomb attack that injured dozens of people in Belarus were released without charges Friday.

Sergei Chislov, Igor Korsak, Viktor Leshchinsky and Miroslav Lozovsky, who were all part of the White Legion group in the 1990s, were set free after 10 days in detention, they told AFP.

"They told me that as a former officer, I can organise a blast. But I have lived in Moscow for three years now, I am a businessman," protested Chislov, 40.

The explosion of a home-made bomb filled with bolts and screws injured dozens of young revellers at the overnight concert, causing shock in this tightly-controlled country ruled by the authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko, who also attended the gala.
