Belarus: Gorynskiy agri-complex to launch a new line for green pea production in July

A new line will start producing canned green pea in the OJSC "Gorynskiy Agri-Complex" (Brestskaya region) in July. Croatian specialists are working on the debugging of the equipment at the enterprise now.

Yuri Lozitskiy, the Deputy Director of the enterprise informed "BELTA" journalist that the capacity of the new line let the enterprise process up to 70 tons of green pea per day. As soon as the line is launched, the agri-complex will significantly increase the production of this popular product; the enterprise will also produce green pea in 0.45 L glass jars with twist-off lid and the tins, which are more convenient for the consumers. The complex used to can green pea in the ordinary 0.5 L glass jars with the traditional lids.

This project is funded by means of the budget costs according to the program of the cannery industry development in the Republic of Belarus.

OJSC "Gorynskiy Agri-Complex" was founded in 2004 on the basis of two collective farms and Gorynskiy cannery. The enterprise is specialized on the production of the canned fruits & vegetables; it produces vegetable mixes, salads, first courses, tomato sauce, green pea, fruit and vegetable juices. The acreage of the agricultural lands of the enterprise is 4,900 ha; the cultivation areas occupy almost 2 ha; green pea is grown on 250 ha. During 6 months of the current year the enterprise has produced the products worth to Br 1.8 billion in the comparable prices (+120.1% if compared to the same period of time past year).
