Belarus youngsters in Weston

TWELVE youngsters whose homes were affected by radioactive fallout have visited Weston.

The children, who are aged eight to 11 years old and come from Belarus, were the guests of Grand Pier bosses.

The youngsters were greeted by Buttons the clown, enjoyed free rides and were presented with armfuls of goodies.

Belarus was affected by the Chernobyl disaster 22 years ago, when a nuclear reactor exploded.

The children are affected by radiation and are staying in Bath for a month for recuperation.
