Belarus KGB started bullying human right activist's family

The spouse of the well-known Belarus human rights activist Valentin Stefanovich, Alina, received a telephone call from the State Security Committee (KGB) directorate of Minsk and the Minsk region with a proposition to appear for a conversation, she wasn't explained a reason of her calling up, online paper Khartiya'97 reports.

Alina refused to talk without a summons and Valentin Stefanovich thinks the actions of Minsk KGB officers is nothing but pressure upon him and his family members and he links it with his electoral and public activity as well as with monitoring of the election for the lower chamber of the Belarusian "parliament". Unfortunately, facts of such intimidation are becoming massive, Khartiya'97 marks.

Earlier it was State Tax Inspection which was interested in incomes of Stefanovich's family and the human rights activist was called to the Department of Financial Investigation of the State Control Committee of Belarus, online paper adds.
