Belinturist developing new tourist routes in Belarusian reserves

Belinturist is developing new kinds of excursions in the Belarusian reserves, BelTA learnt from director of the Belinturist Company of the Presidential Property Management Directorate Maria Filipovich.

She said that the tourists will be offered "to see the forest" - they will be able to walk or bike across the Belarusian reserves, though some time ago they could travel across them only using special transport. Belarus managed to preserve the unique environment of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha. That special atmosphere could be ruined by infrastructure like it happened in the Polish part of the Pushcha where uniqueness of the reserve was lost, Maria Filipovich noted.

She added that 2009 is expected to be quite prospective for Belinturist. The agency plans to hold exhibitions in Poland and Great Britain in order to promote tourist opportunities of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

Belinturist also intends to increase its share on the tourist market of the country through expanding its distribution network.
