50 injured at Minsk after a bomb exploded near Belorussian Lukashenko leader

Some 50 people were injured today at Minsk after a bomb exploded at a concert organized for Independence Day at which President Alexander Lukashenko was present, Reuters informs. Lukashenko, criticized in Western countries for his dictatorial rule over Belarus since 1994 was interested to evaluate all damages.

The explosion was not an attempt to kill the Belorussian President, Presidency's spokesperson declared. The explosion was most probably provoked by hooligans, one of the officials declared. The explosion took place shortly after midnight.
