Second bomb found after Belarus explosion

A second bomb has been found in the Belarus capital Minsk where about 50 people were injured in an explosion this morning.

The explosion happened just after midnight local time. A crowd had gathered for a concert, part of celebrations marking a national holiday.

Reports from the area suggest that the bomb may have been home made. Screws and bolts were found at the scene.

The Interior Ministry say that the discovery of a second device will help the progress of the investigation into the incident.

No clear motive has been established. Police officers are quoted as saying they suspect it may have been an act of hooliganism.
