Belarus calls its citizens to obey Georgian laws in Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Minsk - APA. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus calls the citizens of Belarus to obey the Georgian laws during trips to so called Abkhazia and South Ossetia, APA reports.

Alexander Lukashevich, head of consular office of MFA said that the Belarusian citizens are allowed to go to the breakaway regions of Georgia Abkhazia and South Ossetia only from controlled territories of Georgia - Gori and Zugdidi districts. Lukashevich explained that persons entered to the mentioned regions from other districts will be charged under the law of Georgia. Recognition of the separatist Abkhazia and South Ossetia created diplomatic tensions between Moscow and Minsk. Last year Belarus promised to recognize the separatist regions, but then refused to do that.
