Belarus plans to create new health resort areas
Belarus plans to create new health resort areas, Minister of Sport and tourism of Belarus, Oleg Kachan said during a session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers recently.
The small former Soviet republic is still closely linked with Russia. Belarus is a landlocked country in the East of Europe. It borders on Russia in the North and the East, Ukraine in the southeast, Poland in the West and Latvia and Lithuania in the northwest.
The plans are to develop a tourist project in the Pripyatsky-Polesye health resort area, and also in other regions of the country, Oleg Kachan said.
