(IsraelNN.com) Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov and his Belarusian counterpart Oleg Kachan signed a five year agreement on Friday to generate an increase in tourism traffic between the two countries. It also calls for increasing joint activities by tourism wholesalers and upgrading relations with existing and new airline companies to break down existing barriers and increase seat capacity. Other issues to be progressed include: exchange of tourism specialists, distribution of tourism material, and exchange of tourism information.
"In the next few years, the Tourism Ministry will strengthen its activities with the main source countries for incoming tourism to Israel, while also increasing its activities in additional countries in Eastern Europe and Asia," said Misezhnikov in a statement. "These activities will concentrate on removing obstacles, strengthening ties and implementing targeted marketing activities in order to realize the tourism potential from these countries."
