Leasing of Belarus trolleybuses will cost Kyrgyzstan $800,000 a year

Leasing of Belarus trolleybuses will cost Kyrgyzstan about $800 thousands per year, Kanybek Aidarov, chief engineer of the Bishkek trolleybus department said.

Bishkek authorities reportedly took trolleybuses on a 3-year credit at total value of $2.940 million, whereof 15 percent - $440,000 is already paid.

"World economic crisis played into our hands, as Russia and other European countries stopped buying trolleybuses from Belarus and now it offers them for leasing. The new transport is way more comfortable, it is equipped with air conditioners and heaters," Valery Kornienko, the Bishkek vice-mayor said.
