Belarus to harvest almost one half of grains and leguminous plants sowings

Belarus harvested grains and leguminous plants throughout almost a half of the harvesting areas, announced the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic.

As of July 28, the country harvested grains and leguminous plants throughout 1.117 mln ha, or 45.9% from the general harvesting area, informed the Ministry.

As of July 28, the general grain production totaled 3.46 mln tonnes.

The average yield of grains and leguminous plants totaled 31 c/ha, down 6.8 c/ha compared to 2009.

Besides, the Ministry informed that as of July 28, the country harvested malting barley throughout 56.9 thsd ha, or 67.2% from the general harvesting area. Belarus produced 198.6 thsd tonnes of malting barley, the average yield totaled 34.9 c/ha.

Generally, Belarus plans to harvest grains and leguminous plants throughout 2.437 mln ha, the crop will total nearly 10 mln tonnes.
