Samand new local car in Belarus
Samand automobiles produced in Minsk will soon replace worn-out second hand imported cars in Belarus.
According to Iran Khodro Co., Belarusian Minister of Industry Anatoliy Rusetskiy is intent on replacing all second hand imported cars with Belarus-made Samand vehicles.
During a visit to the Samand production line in Minsk, Rusetskiy said Belarusian people are interested in local automobiles produced in their own country.
Samand is being manufactured in Minsk by the Unison firm and Iran Khodro in Belarus. Production will reach 2,500 cars by 2008.
