Belarus Looks Forward to Getting 22 Million Tons of Crude

Belneftekhim of Belarus expects Russia's supplies of crude to reach 21.5 million tons to 22 million tons in 2008, Belneftekhim Deputy CEO Vladimir Volkov told the reporters in Minsk Wednesday.

"It is anticipated that, under the Union Fuel Balance, the crude deliveries will be 21.5 million tons to 22 million tons in 2008. We have determined with Russia the size of supplies till 2020," Volkov said as quoted by Interfax.

Belarus expects Russia to fully execute this year's balance for fuel. "Today's execution exceeds 100 percent each month, and we hope to make up for the January losses," the official said, pointing out there are objective prerequisites that allow to speak about unconditional execution of the plans for crude shipments this year. "We haven't had a single failure since January," Volkov pointed out.

Belarus' State Consortium of Oil and Chemistry, Belneftekhim, unites 50 enterprises, accounting on aggregate for roughly 35 percent of the overall industrial output of Belarus and for more than a half of its exports. Belneftekhim product is supplied to over 80 states worldwide.
