The Belarusian Ministry of Communications has revised its regulations on telecommunications services licensing, reports E-Belarus.org.
Under the regulation, licenses are required for radio-frequencies channels usage, data communications networks, cable and on-air TV broadcasting, radio-frequencies data communications networks and satellite, stationary and mobile telecommunications networks.
Licenses are not required for telecommunications networks using radio-frequencies, cable TV networks with less than 10 users, administrative automatic telephone stations, communications networks that are situated in a single building and radio-electronic facilities apportioned by the State Commission for personal use, such as amateur radio.
The revised draft has been published on the Ministry's website. The Ministry is calling for a public consultation on the document which will run thru 1 August 2007. The draft is subject to approval by the Buelarusian Council of Ministers.
