Belarus: the Bakery Department enterprises increased cereal production by 45.1% during January-July

During January-July, 2008, the enterprises of the Bakery Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus produced 26.400 tonnes of cereal production, up 45.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.

During the seven month of the year, the enterprises produced 20.800 tonnes of cereals, up 51.5% compared to January-July, 2007. Especially, the enterprises of the Department produced 5.300 tonnes of pearl cereal (up 9.6% compared to the same period of 2007), 5.600 tonnes of fine-ground cereal (up 23.8%), 2.200 tonnes of oatmeal (up 100%), 4.400 tonnes of buckwheat cereal (up 6 times). 3.400 tonnes of wheat cereal were produced (up 48.8%), including 2.300 tonnes of semolina (up 22.6%).

The plants produced 5.500 tonnes of fast-cooked cereal production, up 26.2% compared to January-July period of 2007.
