Dnipro river changed course of river and cut 660 hectares in favour for Belarus

In Lubeche of the Chernigiv Oblast Dnipro river, having changed the course of the river, cut 660 hectares of the land, which can go to Belarus.

Emergency Situations Department of the Chernigiv Oblast State Administration disclosed this to UNIAN.

During April-July of this year as a result of intensive destruction of the coastal strip of Dnipro river, dirt road, which were at waterless valley between the river and "Simpole" lake at the area of 300 m of Lubeche settlement of the Repkinskyi district is washed away.

According to inspections, the river united with head water of "Simpole" lake. At the same time 660 hectares of Lubeche settlement council are cut and it creates a threat that this part of land can go to the territory of Belarus.
