Belarus increase mixed fodder production by 10.6%

In January-July of 2009, mixed fodder production volumes in Belarus totaled 1.63 mln tonnes, an increase of 10.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, declared the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat).

During seven months of the current year, the organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus increased mixed fodder production by 11.3% compared to the same period of 2008, to 1.5 mln tonnes, including the enterprises of the department of bakery products - by 10.5% to 1.39 mln tonnes.

Juridical entities without the departmental affiliation produced 106.4 thsd tonnes of mixed fodder, which became almost equal to the level of the same period of 2008, the enterprises of regional executive committees - 26.7 thsd tonnes, up 14.3%.

According to Belstat information, in January-July of 2009, Belarus produced 9.9 thsd tonnes of feed mixes, down 36.6% compared to January-July of 2008, 48.65 thsd tonnes of protein-vitamin additions (down 1.7%), 25.15 thsd tonnes of premixes (up 10.7%), 18.4 thsd tonnes of feed microbiologic protein (up 0.7%). The enterprises of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food produced the main volumes of the products.

As of August 1, the carry-over stocks of mixed fodder at the storages totaled 51.8 thsd tonnes or 22.2% of monthly production level, 183 tonnes of feed mixes (12.9%), 813 tonnes of protein-vitamin additions (11.7%), 1.27 thsd tonnes of premixes (35.5%), 1.183 tonnes of feed protein (45.1%).
