Belarus takes lead of the Council of heads of the CIS supreme fiscal control bodies

Kazakhstan today

ALMATY. Belarus took lead of the Council of heads of the CIS supreme fiscal control bodies as from yesterday, September 5, Sergey Stepashin, Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Russia, said at a meeting with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan Today reports citing BELTA agency.

According to Mr. Stepashin, currently Belarus has created a very strong and powerful system of not only fiscal, but also state control. It does not contradict the Declaration on fiscal control bodies. "Each country with proper historical specifics and tasks faced by it has a right to determine the organisational forms for activities of such structures," - the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Russia said.

In his view, copying and studying the international experience is possible, but the established fiscal control bodies should not only be liked by all in the West and East, but they should work efficiently. "Today we mark excellent work of the State Control Committee," - he said.
