East Clare Chernobyl Project thanks "generous" public

MEMBERS of the East Clare Chernobyl Project will be heading off to Belarus on September 21, where money raised in a number of local fundraisers will be put to good use.

The money raised will contribute towards the renovations and much needed medical supplies needed in the orphanage in Antopol and the sanatorium in Malech.

On behalf on the East Clare Chernobyl project, Billy Fitzpatrick, Corbally, would like to thank all those who were involved in organising the different fund-raising events, to all the sponsors and to those who contributed so generously to the cause throughout the year. He also thanked all those involved in the cycle that took place last Saturday, September 9, which raised much needed funds for Belarus.
