Iran main supplier of Belarus energy
Belarus has chosen Iran to be its main supplier of oil and gas to meet its energy demands based on a recently ratified 12-year energy security bill.
According to the bill, Iran, Venezuela and some Caspian littoral states will be the main suppliers of oil and gas to Belarus, reducing the country's reliance on Russia's energy resources.
Regarding the issue, Belarus' ambassador to Russia announced that the Belarusian government aims to import gas from Iran and Venezuela because officials are doubtful about Russia's gas export.
