Belarus President: diplomacy is coming to forefront as unipolar world is facing crisis
In the conditions of the unipolar world crisis, the importance of diplomacy is rising manifold, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on September 23 as he accepted credentials from foreign ambassadors, reported BELTA.
"In these conditions, we, Belarusians, are ready for comprehensive multilateral and mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners from any part of the world," the Belarusian Head of State underlined.
"The only thing that we expect in return is the respect for our right to have and promote our own interests, the respect for our sovereignty, our national identity," he added.
Addressing the ambassadors the President noted, "We understand and greatly respect your mission - represent the interests of your countries in Belarus, help boost the relations between our states."
Belarus is an open country, in the economic, cultural and spiritual sense, Alexander Lukashenko underlined.
