Belarus: change of broadcaster not possible yet

The plan of Belarussian broadcaster BRTC to take a break from organizing the participation at the Eurovision Song Contest leaving upcoming European Broadcasting Union member ONT to take over next year has come to an end. ONT is not a full member of the EBU yet so it's up to BRTC for another year.

The director for the European Broadcasting Union, Bjorn Erichsen has informed the Belarussian Media that the application of ONT for EBU membership will be considered in december, while the participating countries should submit their entry forms befor the end of november. Until a final decision is reached, ONT can not organize any type of selection. Their first possibility wil be in 2011.
