Iran and Belarus to set up joint trade council

Mehr News Agency reported that Iran and Belarus signed a MoU to set up a joint trade council during the Iranian business delegation's visit to Mink.

As per report, based on the signed MOU the 2 sides are to introduce their representatives to the council in one month. The 45 member Iranian business delegation headed for the Belarusian capital Minsk September 27th 2009. Mr Mohammad Nahavandian chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines and Mr Seyyed Ali Mousavi director of Tehran Province's Commerce Organization are supervising the delegation. So far Mr Nahavandian has held meetings with Mr Alexander M Radevich industry minister of Belarus and the nation's deputy Agriculture ministers.

During its 1 week stay, the Iranian delegation plans to hold meetings with the Belarusian officials and businessmen to review the 2 countries' trade relations and discuss possible ways for removing the obstacles.

Iranian delegation consists of businessmen active in the fields of foodstuff, construction stones and materials, engineering services and medical equipments.
