Lukashenko congratulates Medvedev on birthday

MINSK, September 14 (Itar-Tass) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on his birthday, the press service of the Belarusian head of state told Itar-Tass on Monday.

"You, as a talented leader and a sincere patriot of your Fatherland, put every effort in serving Russia for the benefit and welfare of your people," the message of congratulations says, in particular.

Alexander Lukashenko praised that fruitful meeting he had with Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi in August 2009 which was held in an atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding, the press service reported. The Belarusian leader confirmed his readiness to continue the dialogue in order to strengthen strategic ally relations between Belarus and Russia.
