Presidential elections in Belarus have been set for December 19th.
The decision has been made by 108 out of the 110 Belarusian MPs.
The Belarusian constitution authorizes the incumbent president Alexander Lukashenko to run for another term in office.
Lukashenko has been at the helm since 1994 and boasts high popularity ratings, according to surveys.
But many opposition politicians accuse him of removing political opponents and usurping power.
