Alexandr Milinkevich refuses to run for president in Belarus

Alexandr Milinkevich, the ex-candidate to President during former Belarussian presidential elections, refuses to participate into the forthcoming elections. "Government hasn't changed the voting system", motivated he the desicion.

Also, Alexandr Milinkevich, the chairman of the Belarussian People's Front Party Alexei Yanukevich, Ryhor Kostusyov, Ales Michalevich and Youry Glushakov signed a cooperation agreement. Ryhor Kostusyov, Ales Michalevich and Youry Glushakov will run for president.

Mr.Milinkevich was the first politician who proclaimed he would participate in the forthcoming elections on March 3rd, 2010.

Ten Belarussian politicians have claimed they would participate in the presidential elections on December 19, 2010. They are:

Sergei Gaydukevich, the chairman of the Belarussian Liberal Democratic Party,

Yury Glushakov, the chairman of the Belarussian Ecology Party,

Ryhor Kostusyov, the vice-chairman of the Party Belarussian People's Front (BPF),

Ales Michalevich, a democratic politician, ex-vice-chairman of the BPF Party,

Vladimir Neklyaev, a poet, the leader of the movement "Govori Pravdu" (Tell the Truth),

Yaraslav Romanchuk, the vice-chairman of the United Civil Party,

Andrei Sannikov, the leader of the initiative Charter'97,

Nikolai Statkevich, the leader of the initiative "European Belarus",

Valery Frolov, ex-deputy,

Viktor Tereshchenko, the chairman of the Small and Medium Business Association.
