Armenia - Belarus trade house in Yerevan to open September 30

YEREVAN, September 28, /ARKA/. Armenian prime minister Tigran Sarkisian and Belarus' trade minister Valentin Chekanov discussed today in Yerevan the opening of Armenia-Belarus Trade House in Yerevan, scheduled for September 30, the government press office said.

Valentin Chekanov is a cochairman of the Armenia-Belarus intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. He has arrived here to take part in the 8-th session of the commission.

Tigran Sarkisian was said to note with pleasure the effective and dynamic cooperation between the two countries and their high-level political dialogue aimed at further strengthening of friendly ties between two friendly nations.

During the meeting the two men discussed also prospects for expansion of Armenian-Belarus trade and economic ties stressing the need for full scale implementation of the existing potential. In this context they emphasized the work of the intergovernmental commission. Chekanov spoke about a set of arrangements to boost relations in agriculture, health, education, tourism and high technology reached during the session in Yerevan. They then spoke about efforts to enhance humanitarian contacts between Armenia and Belarus and in this context Tigran Sarkisian underlined the importance of conducting Armenia Days in Belarus in 2011.
