Lukashenko proposes shipping Caspian oil to Poland, Baltics via Belarus

MINSK. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated Minsk's interest in increasing the volume of oil, including Caspian oil, transiting through Belarus toward European markets.

"We are ready to make available our pipeline infrastructure for the transit of Caspian oil to the Baltic states and Poland, if it is profitable to Azerbaijan," the president said during talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Minsk on Tuesday.
