Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev held one-to-one meeting with Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko and meetings with the participation of delegations, APA reports quoting to Belarus press service.
Alexander Lukashenko said that his country is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in every sphere.
"There is not any closed subject to be discussed with Azerbaijan as with other countries" he said.
Lukashenko said he hopes that the talks will make the future cooperation more perspective. Lukashenko also said that both countries will begin to implement the projects in industry and energy. The president stated they do not use all potentials to increase goods turn over. Turn over was US $30mn in 2005. It has increased for 85 percent compared to 2004
"This is good dynamics, but we can increase this number by many times. I am sure that Ilham Aliyev's visit will give impulse to this," he said.
He stated that Belarus exports tractor, trucks, road techniques, and veneer to Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan exports seedless raw cotton, tobacco and food products to Belarus
Azerbaijani president said that Azerbaijan is interested in intensive development of relations and he invited Lukashenko to Azerbaijan for an official visit. The president said that Belarus has great economical, intellectual, industrial potentials. Aliyev also said that the documents to be signed will be a serious legal base for the improvement of the cooperation between the two countries.
"We are friend and partner countries and we want to develop our links in all spheres. I am sure the new fields of the relations will be defined within the visit," Aliyev said. /APA/
