President Ilham Aliyev Visits Minsk Tractor Plant

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) on October 18.

The Head of State was welcomed here by first deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, MTZ director general Alexander Pukhovoy. They informed the President of the fact that MTZ established on May 29, 1946 is the world famous plant producing agricultural technics.

President Ilham Aliyev became familiar with the assembly shop and the process of production.

Then, the President visited the exhibition of tractors and other agricultural technics.

Azerbaijani Leader stressed that there are all conditions for producing this kind of technics in Azerbaijan, adding spare parts can be brought to Azerbaijan for further assembling.

The MTZ's products are in great demand in the United Kingdom, USA, Germany, France, Canada, Italy, Sweden and other countries. The first tractor, the MTZ-2 model, was manufactured on October 14, 1953.
