Russian, Belarussian DMs discussing union state's security
MOSCOW, October 20 (Itar-Tass) - The joint collegium of the Russian-Belarussian defence ministries are discussing the ways of ensuring security of the union state.
"We have to discuss a number of issues that should be resolved and will contribute to military protection of Russia and Belarus within the framework of the common defence space creation," Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov, who co-chairs the meeting, said on Friday.
His Belarussian counterpart Leonid Maltsev pointed out that "the two countries' defence ministries "made a considerable breakthrough in military, technical and operative tactical exercises aimed at ensuring military security of the union state."
