Iran has right to peaceful nuclear activities - Belarussian FM

TEHRAN, October 21 (Itar-Tass) - As a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Iran has the right to peaceful nuclear activities, Belarussian Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov said.

After his talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Saturday, Martynov, who is in Tehran on an official visit, said, "Belarus is convinced that as the NPT member Iran has the right to peaceful nuclear activities."

In his words, "there is no proof that could raise doubts on Iran's peaceful nuclear programme."

The Belarussian minister stressed that Minsk favours the nuclear non-proliferation and has no nuclear arsenals.
