Belarus seeking alternative exporters of fuel, other than Russia

MOSCOW, October 27 (Itar-Tass) - Belarussian Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky has not ruled out that Belarus is searching for alternative exporters of fuel, other than Russia.

Every country has the right to consider different ways of fuel supplies, he said after the 17th inter-state council of the Eurasian economic Community on Friday.

"We can hold talks on Belarus' energy security with any country we consider it necessary to speak," Sidorsky said.

He pointed out that the work over constructing a Russian-Belarussian gas transport joint venture proceeds as scheduled.

The Netherlands' ABN AMRO Bank was requested to estimate Beltransgaz' assets and will submit the report to the Belarussian authorities on November 20.
