Government approves communication development programme for 2006-2010

The government of Belarus has formally adopted a new resolution designed to usher in the country's programme for the development of its communication and IT sector for the period 2006-2010. The new policy document contains a set of key targets in the development of the communications sector, including the modernisation of the PSTN, plans for network digitalisation, the introduction of new IT and the expansion of the range of available transmission services for both fixed and mobile networks.
