VietNamNet Bridge - The Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation (VEAM) said that it will start marketing the first Maz trucks assembled in Vietnam this month.
The 10-tonne trucks, assembled with Belorussian components and under the supervision of experts from Belarus, will be sold at all VEAM sales agents throughout the country.
A VEAM executive said that Maz trucks are expected to become popular in the country thanks to their endurance, off-road capability - especially in mountainous areas- and suitability for the Vietnamese people's demands.
The assembling of Maz trucks is part of an agreement on the transfer of automobile technology between the Vietnamese and Belorussian Governments.
