National exhibition of Belarus in Ukraine "Belarus 2006" opens in Kyiv

The three-day exhibition that opened today in Kyiv, presents produce of Belarus' 78 enterprises. As Belarussian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko noted, this is the first exhibition of Belarussian enterprises for the past five years.

According to Vladimir Semashko trade turnover between Ukraine and Belarus reached 1.5 bn. USD for 2006's eight months. As Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk noted, Belarus is Ukraine's second biggest partner among CIS nations and the fifth biggest among world partners.
