Venezuela and Belarus analyze bilateral accords

Venezuela and Belarus have several projects in the economic, scientific-technician, industrial, oil, gas, housing construction and education fields.

Caracas, Oct 11th (ABN).- Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister Nicolas Maduro held a meeting with the Foreign Affairs Vice-Minister of Belarus, Victor Gaisenok in order to discuss about projects and common bilateral accords.

According to a press release, after holding the meeting, Vice-Minister Gaisenok said that he also talked with Minister Maduro about the visit planned by President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, to Venezuela; concerning to the visit, he said that it will pave the way to progress in the political and economic relations of both nations.

After affirming that Venezuela and Belarus actively build mutual ties based on cooperation and friendship, which will favor both countries, he said that Venezuela and Belarus have several projects in the economic, scientific-technician, industrial, oil, gas, housing construction and education fields.

He said that the common projects have emerged thanks to the active and productive political contact between both nations.

Furthermore, he said that his country backs President Chavez' stance in the international sphere.

"His performance has promoted our rapprochement," he said.

He also said that "the success of President Chavez with his Constitutional Reform Project shows that the Venezuelan people believe in its leader."

During his visit, Vice-Minister Gaisenok introduced the charge d'affairs (ad hoc) of Belarus in Venezuela, Vladimir Grushevich, to Minister Maduro.
