Itransition Named to 2007 Software Magazine's 25th Annual Software 500

Minsk, Belarus (OPENPRESS) October 17, 2007 -- Itransition Software today announced its inclusion on the Software Magazine's Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software and service providers, now in its 25th year.

The Software 500 is an annual revenue-based ranking of largest software and service providers in the world targeting medium to big businesses, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. Itransition Software is the only European company in the list delivering business application development services.

"The Software 500 is the shortlist of business partners for CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research," says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. "It is a reference of vendor viability. That is content of value."

"The Software 500 ranking starts out based on revenue, from software license sales and from services. We also ask each responding company to cite its primary software business sector. We have 38 categories now," Desmond says.

There are more than 98 new companies on the list this year, with Itransition Software one of them. This year's top industries, in which work world's leading companies, including Itransition, are System Integration Services/IT Consulting, Application Development, Financial Applications and Security Tools/Systems.

"It is maturity of management and production processes, high quality standards, multilanguage personnel skills, as well as deep understanding of the company vision by employees, that let us provide excellent services both for the European, US and Canadian markets and be eventually listed in the Software 500," comments Sergey Gvardeitsev, CEO of Itransition Software, on the award.

Go to www.myswmag.com to subscribe to digital Software Magazine and be among the first to see the 2007 Software 500. It is being released first in the digital publication. The online Software 500 on Softwaremag.com, to be posted at a later date, is searchable by primary business sector.

The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2006. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents.
