MINSK. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Representatives of Belarusian opposition have come to Kurapaty, a wooded area on the outskirts of Minsk, where a vast number of victims of the Great Purge were buried, within the framework of the Day of Memory for the Dead marked on Sunday.

Marchers are holding white-red-white flags and banners, including with anti-Russian slogans. A rally is currently held at Kurapaty, and later wooden crosses will be installed there.

Some 500 people are taking part in the march, police said.

According to various estimates, from 30,000 to as many as 200,000 victims of the Soviet political repressions were buried at Kurapaty. The first meeting at Kurapaty took place in 1988.
